Armies On Parade Local Winners Medal.

As most of you are probably aware, Saturday the 10th of September saw the start of the annual Armies on Parade competition.


Up and down the country Games Workshop stores had people bringing in their 2' x 2' boards in boxes, bags and cases, packed carefully with their entries for this for this game  board section competition.


Each store displayed the boards and anyone visiting the store had the option of voting for their top 3 of the boards on display.


There was no fixed criteria they had to meet, it just had to be the favourite board of the individual, so it really was anyone's prize to be won.


And what is the prize for this? well the winner of each stores entries wins one of the medals pictured here, with their winning board going forward to represent that store in the grand final held during Games Day 2011, with the best of them being chosen as the Ultimate Armies On Parade Champion and getting their tight little hands on one of these fantastic trophies.

My local store, Games Workshop Kettering had seven entries in all, Unfortunately due to ill health I was not able to enter this year, but rest assured I will be there next year with an entry.


So earlier today we as a family went along to GW Kettering to have a look at the boards on display and cast vote for each of our favourites, so here are the entries and what we thought how we judged them.
