Warhammer 40k - Can Children Paint Models Table Top Standard?

Over the weekend my eight year old daughter, Lucy said she wanted to join Lewes & I in playing Warhammer 40k, so after a look through Games Workshop website she said she wanted to play Tyranids, OK I thought, these are an up to date army, they have some nice models, but I was worried she might not get the hang of painting them, Well........
